Description
The British Rail Class 31 diesel locomotives, also known as the Brush Type 2 and originally as Class 30, were built by Brush Traction from 1957-62. D5627, currently named Steve Organ GM, has been preserved and is currently serving the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway.
The Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway is a volunteer run preservation society and their locomotives serve Blaenavon (High Level), Coed Avon, Furnace Sidings, Whistle Inn and Big Pit Halt for tourist trips.
