Description
MV Balmoral is a vintage excursion ship having been built as a ferry in 1949 for the Southampton, Isle of Wight and South of England Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. Limited, more normally known as the Red Funnel line. She now operates alongside the world's last seagoing paddle steamer, PS Waverley. Mv Balmoral was taken out of service in 2013 for a major refit costing over 300,000 and was returned to service in the Bristol Channel on 19 June 2015. Blamoral is seen here approaching Penarth Pier having sailed across the Bristol Channel from Clevedon.
